About ETION 50% INSECTICIDES

• Active Ingredient: The primary active ingredient is ethion (S,S'-methylene bis(O,O-diethyl phosphorodithioate)), which is an organophosphate.
• Mode of Action: Ethion is a non-systemic insecticide that primarily works through contact and stomach action. It disrupts the nervous system of insects and mites by inhibiting the acetylcholinesterase enzyme, leading to paralysis and death.
• Action Type: It has a quick knockdown, ovicidal (kills eggs), and residual action, providing long-lasting protection.
• Formulation: The Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC) formulation is a liquid that easily mixes with water for spray applications. 

• Target Pests:
  • Mites (Red spider mites, purple mites, yellow mites, etc.)
  • Thrips
  • Aphids, whiteflies, and leafhoppers
  • Caterpillars and bollworms
  • Pod borers, girdle beetles, and stem flies
  • Scales
  • Termites (for post and pre-construction treatment)
• Suitable Crops:
  • Cotton
  • Chilli
  • Soybean
  • Gram and pigeon pea
  • Tea
  • Various fruits and vegetable

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during handling, mixing, and application to avoid exposure.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and wash hands and unprotected body parts after handling.
• Do not smoke, eat, or drink during the application process.
• In case of accidental poisoning, call a physician immediately and show them the product label. Atropine sulfate and 2 PAM are antidotes, administered intravenously by a physician
