- Mode of Action: Difenoconazole belongs to the triazole chemical group. It works by interfering with the biosynthesis of sterols in the fungal cell membranes, which are crucial for cell structure and function. This disruption inhibits the growth of the fungus, ultimately leading to its death.
- Systemic and Translaminar Activity: Once applied, the fungicide is absorbed by the leaves and stems and moves upward (acropetally) through the plant system. This provides comprehensive protection, even to new, untreated growth and on both sides of the leaf surface (translaminar action).
